On July 17, we attended the farmer’s market: it was a pleasant day throughout except for the wildfire smoke.  It appeared to lessen in the early morning but became denser as we approached noon.  Attendance mirrored that trend.  In two trips to the food bank we took 510 pounds of fresh produce in total.  We spoke to 46 people in total and received donations from 16 visitors.  This was the first week fresh corn was available and some growers brought peaches.  Thanks to Ann and John and Lisa for both helping and visiting the booth.  Just about all the growers are involved in making contributions to the food bank.  I continue to gather names and contact coordinates from those who support our efforts.  This week, I will prepare an update on our food bank contributions to date.
